Met Gala 2024: Anna Wintour’s very cryptic response when asked about Taylor Swift attending fashion’s hottest night of the yearAnna Wintour has reignited speculation that Taylor Swift could be in attendance at this year’s Met Gala, an annual fundraising event known as ‘fashion’s biggest night out Bush Hager conducted a face-to-face interview with Vogue’s global editorial director, and later confirmed to her Today cohosts that she had asked the 74-year-old whether or not Taylor, 34, would beRecalling how the exchange went down, Jenna, 42, referred to her eldest daughter and said: ‘I also had to ask, because Mila Hager asked if Taylor was gonna be there, and she (Anna) said, “I hope she comes and enjoys the exhibit.”

‘So that could be yes, that could be no, which is what the reports are sort of saying,’ Jenna added, with cohosts Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie, Sheinelle Jones, and Craig Melvin appearing to be very intrigued

And your accent is on point,’ Hoda, 59, joked as Sheinelle, 46, – who is attending the Met Gala on Monday evening – admitted: ‘You just made me excited.’

Elsewhere in the exclusive interview, Jenna asked Anna to confirm whether or not itt was true that chives, onion and garlic had been banned from the menu on the star-studded night.

‘Those are three things I’m not particularly fond of, and so yes, that’s true,’ she replied with a grin on her face.

Anna also admitted that there may have been some ‘confusion’ when it came to this year’s theme, which was Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, and said that this year’s exhibition broke her ‘cardinal rule.’

‘We came up with the title Sleeping Beauties. It’s wonderful, it’s poetic, its romantic, but actually it could be many, many things,’ she told Jenna.

That, paired with the Garden of Time dress code, she said, may have caused mixed signals.

‘I fear we have unleashed a lot of confusion out there for which I deeply apologize,’ she added.

When asked how she feels in the days leading up to the Met Gala, Anna revealed: ‘It’s relatively quiet. Everything is in the details. We plan these exhibitions in the evening so far in advance that if we’re not relatively calm in this point, we’re in big, big trouble.’
