The Brazilian gymnast won the first place in the Floor event, beating Simone Biles from the US and finishing a historical participation in Paris 2024, winning her sixth Olympic medal.

Simone Biles had become the greatest rival to beat for Rebeca Andrade and for Time Brasil during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

After amazing performances, Team USA won the medal in the team event, and pushed Brazil to the third place in the competition.

Then, in the All Around event, Biles surpassed Rebeca Andrade in the last apparatus, winning the gold and pushing Andrade to the second place and silver medal.

The results were similar in Vault, where Andrade could not beat the American superstar.

However, today in the Floor event, the best gymnast in Brazilian history got her revenge.

In a spectacular presentation, Rebeca got a score of 14,166 with a routine presented at the BERCY Arena in Paris, having just some minor mistakes.

But Simone Biles was next and everyone wondered if she would once again take the gold from the Brazilian athlete.

The American athlete executed an excellent presentation but her total score of 14,133 wasn’t enough to beat Rebeca Andrade.

A victory for Rebeca and a victory for Brazil. It’s the second Olympic gold for the Team Panam Sports Ambassador, her fourth medal at the Paris 2024 and sixth Olympic podium in her career, which makes her the athlete with the most Olympic medals in her country’s history.

“I am happy, grateful to everyone. Grateful for my work team, my coach, my family, and everyone who joined me in this journey. It wasn’t easy, I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it. I am extremely proud to be the athlete with the most medals won in the Olympic Games in Brazil,” said Rebeca Andrade.

The third place and bronze medal went to the Santiago 2023 Pan American medalist Jordan Chiles with a score of 13,766

With this victory in the floor event, Rebeca won four Olympic medals in Paris 2024. Bronze in teams, silver in all around and vault, and the gold in floor, which added to the ones won in Tokyo 2020, give her a total of six Olympic podiums.
