In a heated public exchange, conservative commentator and former television host Megyn Kelly has taken aim at Hollywood legend Robert De Niro, labeling the actor as “extremely stupid” following his recent political comments. The fiery rhetoric from Kelly has ignited a media storm, adding another chapter to the long-standing tensions between Hollywood and prominent conservative voices.
Robert De Niro can act, sure, but that doesn’t make him some kind of political genius,” Kelly said during the podcast. “His rants are not only misinformed but downright idiotic. He’s constantly putting down half of the country and doesn’t seem to understand that just because you’re a famous actor doesn’t mean you’re smarter than everyone else. It’s extremely stupid.”
Her criticism comes as part of a larger frustration with Hollywood celebrities who Kelly believes use their fame to push political agendas that do not reflect the views of average Americans.
