Travis Kelce’s Parents Put Off Getting Divorced For A Long Time

Jason and Travis Kelce’s parents, Ed and Donna Kelce, put off getting divorced for a long time while they were kids.

The parents decided to work together as a team while Jason and Travis grew up, attending high school and later playing at Cincinnati together.

The couple ended up getting divorced when the kids were just out of college.

Donna Kelce admitted that it is “very, very difficult to raise children on your own,” during an appearance on Martha Stewart’s podcast, The Martha Stewart Podcast.

They decided to stick it out while Travis and Jason went through school.

“And with as active as they were, how do you do that on your own? So we decided that we would be married throughout the entire time that the kids were in the house, and that’s the way it worked out,” she admitted.

The couple was married for 25 years, before ultimately getting divorced. They first met when Donna was supposed to go out with someone else.

“I was supposed to go out with a guy that night. We were supposed to go to a play, and I never made it. Your dad and I talked forever,” Donna told her sons on their podcast, adding: “It was a good play, too! I really wanted to see it.”

Things ultimately worked out in the end.
